What we collect
Your email address, if and when you ask us for something that has to be emailed to you — the The Client-Getting Starter Kit being the only such thing on the site today. Nothing else about you is collected at signup: no name, no company, no phone number.
If you submit a rate to the benchmarks dataset, we store the figures you enter (profession, experience, region, engagement type, amount) with no identifier attached. Providing an email there is optional, and only does anything if you also ask for the Starter Kit.
We also record standard, privacy-respecting analytics: aggregated page views via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other sites. That is why this site has no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
There is no advertising on this site, no ad pixels, no third-party trackers, and no payment processing — nothing is for sale.
How we use your email
We send what you asked for, plus occasional practical tips and updates — exactly as stated next to every signup form. That statement is your consent under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), and this is the wording, verbatim:

The exact sentence shown to you at the moment you signed up is stored alongside your email, so there is a record of what you actually agreed to rather than what the policy says today. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately.
We never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for their marketing. There is no fixed sending schedule and no newsletter cadence is promised.
Who processes your data
- Cloudflare — hosting, the database storing emails, spam protection, and cookieless analytics.
- Resend — sending the Starter Kit email.
Both operate under data processing agreements. No other processor receives your data.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data at any time — email hello@getfreelancejobs.com and we'll complete it within 30 days, usually much faster. You can withdraw marketing consent at any point by unsubscribing.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority; ours is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, Cyprus.
Retention and security
Emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Anonymous rate submissions are kept indefinitely, because they carry nothing that identifies you. Data is stored with EU-based or GDPR-compliant processors under data processing agreements.
One plain-language note: this page is written to be read, not to hide things. If anything here surprises you, tell us — we'd rather fix the policy than rely on fine print.
